You are invited to a “working rehearsal” by the Hotel Paradise Roof Garden Orchestra, the new 12-piece big band that plays each month in Hampden (second Sunday) at Paulie Gee’s.
It’s a casual, dressed-down performance and rehearsal (some songs will be repeated), with early swing, low-down jazz and sweet dance tunes from the 1920s and 30s. There’s even room to dance.
This is a rare chance to see and hear a big band at work, polishing, fixing, and performing songs they will play in public later this fall.
Lynn Summerall is Musical Director. Sandra Smith is Vocalist.
